| July 7th 2001 | Jackie Mulroney nee Plascott | Wallan Wallan, Australia | yahoo search gravesend | I left Gravesend in 1963 at age 8 and have never been back but am planning to in the future. The place I remember most was The Prom. I can also still picture my grandparents house in Coombe Rd. I have thoroughly enjoyed the last hour and will certainly check back for any additions. Thankyou! |
| July 6th 2001 | Christopher Green | Montreal, Canada | Google Search Engine | Hello In Gravesend, I am doing research about my family and believe that my Grandfather Green stored fish at Gravesend during World War 1 that were en route to our Canadian fighting men in the trenches ... Grandfather was called 'The Fish-Monger General'... he later ( 1920 ) had a famous son called Hughie Green the UK entertainer and my dad ... I would appreciate it if anyone might be able to tell me where Major Hugh Aicheson Green ( Canadian Militia ) might have stored the fish during the First War .... any historians out there ? Many thanks, Christopher H. Green |

| May 20th 2001 | Brenda Lyons (nee Eyers) | Melbourne, Australia | Search through Google | On one of my trips back to Gravesend I took many photographs of the pubs. What I would like to do is put a book together of my photos plus information on each pub. The historical information I have is very limited at the moment but am looking for more details. If I could be pointed to the right source this would be wonderful. I also have some post cards of that I would like to reproduce much along the same lines as the website, the before and after. Look forward to hearing from you. |
